Film Specification Notes

Note 1: If your purpose in gathering this information is to send files for which Custom Printed Products will be outputting films, which we strongly suggest seeing as how we have our own complete in house imaging group. Please be sure all associated files (High, Med, or Low Resolution) are sent along with completed vector art files. In addition to associated files please include any fonts (Printer, Postscript, and Screen) necessary.

Note 2: If your purpose in gathering this information is to output films for production of labels, one of the following (if not both) must be sent along with those production films: a) A right reading uncompensated Cromalin, Mathprint, Fuji, Conco, or Dupont Waterproof, b) And/or the films any of the above were created from.

Note 3: Trap must be determined on a case by case basis. A color proof is vital to determine actual trapping requirements prior to final production film output .

Note 4: The Template files available for download with these specs are in Freehand 8.0. Please take note of all of the markings that are in those files. They must appear on your production films as they do in those files, with the exception of the dieline (which must be removed). This is very important to us internally in order to print a quality label. Once again if any of this information raises questions in your mind as how to properly image films for Custom Printed Products please call our Technical POC immediately as he will be more than happy to help.

Note 5: If the templates sent along with the spec file do not match your specific needs, please call with your specific needs and we can promptly supply you with the needed template.
